Where does he come up with this stuff?

A snippet of conversation between Spencer and I as I was doing the dishes and he was finishing his dinner at the counter.

Spencer: Mom, when I grow up and get fat I am going to go on a diet!

Mom: Just don't get fat and then you won't have to worry about a diet.

Spencer: But Mom! I love french fries!
