Swimming in the rain...almost.

This week has been a crazy week. It was the week that swimming lessons for both boys started plus tennis lessons for Spencer plus Evan still has t-ball - and they all seem to overlap by five to ten minutes. We have been running ragged since we have been home.

Today after the morning of "running and shuffling" we had nothing to do in the afternoon so we decided we would go to the beach for our first "official" beach trip of this summer. Hailey had to nap since she missed her morning nap so we didn't get moving to the beach until around three o'clock or so. Right as we had everything loaded up into the burley and started out on our walk, we heard the distant rumbles of thunder. The sky looked a bit ominous but the kids were begging so we caved to the begging and told them we would go for a quick dip. It never did rain, but the kids grew cold quickly - but they had a blast! I (of course) had my camera so here are a few of the pictures. I set my camera to continuous focus and a light bulb went off in my head - ah! so that is how you do it!
The boys chasing Daddy down the beach!

Spencer loving the body surfing!

I just like how this picture makes Spencer seem so small in relation to the huge lake around him!

Evan - nothing but pure joy!

Body surfing brothers. They have such a good time together. Trent and I just laugh at their skinny little "alien" bodies.

This is not a very flattering picture of Trent, but Hailey is in all her "wild child" glory as she douses Daddy with a handful of sand.

I love the colors and the background blur in the photo of Evs. Poor little guy with a mosquito bite under his eye. The 'skeeters just LOVE him!

Spencer with his big'ol front teeth trying to negotiate his way into the burley for the ride home.

The beach looks SO inviting. I hope to go for a swim in the big lake when we come home in August. Great photos of your kids soaking up the joy of summer.
