The kids were antsy. Super antsy. So antsy that only one thing was going to shake their sillies out.
A dance party.
We had tickets to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat a few days later so I figured I would put on that CD so that they could get familiar with the music.
My kids are big music fans. They didn't just dance to the music - they performed the songs! I had to get out my camera because they were beyond funny to me.
Hailey just goes with the flow. She dances her little heart out and lip syncs very dramatically to the songs. She has a flair for the theatrical reminiscent of her oldest brother.
They all loved the Joseph show. I am glad that I can finally switch out the CD in my car from Fiddler on the Roof. I am glad they are learning to love musical theatre at a young age. I think it is very important for kids to be familiar with theatre while they are young. My mom always took us to shows when we were little. My sister and I used to act out songs and scenes while dancing around our living room. We played records on a record player that was almost as big as a couch. Technology is amazing isn't it? We could entertain ourselves that way for hours. It is fun to see my own kids doing the same thing.

What fun pictures of the "dancing queens"!! :))
I'm so glad they love music the way you and Daisy did, especially the wonderful musicals ---- even the ones from waayyy back. Think, Annie, Oliver, Grease, etc. I still have the 33s of all the hit musicals --- Carousel, Oklahoma, West Side, etc ---- if you ever need to borrow--- :))
Looks like fun. These photos are hilarious. They each have their own dancing persona.
