Christmas Eve Eve Afternoon

I really like snow around Christmas time, but I have to say there is something kind of nice about being able to go for a walk two days before Christmas in near fifty degree weather.  Maybe winter will bypass us all together and we can head right to spring?

No message in this bottle - only some old water or maybe liquor.  Down by the rocks the kids spotted some Christmas cheer.

Evan was the only one brave enough to go after the balloons.  I thought for sure that was because he had aspirations to take them home with us.

But he didn't.  He just wanted to rearrange them a little bit.  Can you even believe that blue sky?  On December 23rd no less?

The water is really high.  It has eroded a ton of the beach.  There are pylons, old seawalls and "crab cages" and a whole lot of stuff exposed that we have never seen down there before.  The waves even unearthed a shipwreck.

It was a gorgeous day at the big lake.  Merry Christmas.  Happy New Year and c'mon Spring!
