Where did October go?

I can't believe that it is almost mid November.  The end of this year is flying!

The month started out with Hailey going to a friend's birthday party and getting to dress up and Trick or Treat at a local Harvestfest.  I guess she was a zombie?  We didn't have her real costume even started at this point.

Evan asked his girlfriend to Homecoming with a cute sign.  I got to pull out a bunch of my scrapbook stuff for him to use.

Hailey and Trent succeeded at making pie dough from scratch.

A walk down to our beach after some high winds showed us that the beach is even further gone than it was in the summer.

Working on a costume with someone staring at me.

Another day, another look at the receding shoreline.

Hailey and I made some fun Halloween treats.

Of course we made the traditional graveyard cake.

Hailey was officially recognized into Scouts at the fall Court of Honor.

Pumpkin carving!  You are never too old for knives and power tools.

Hailey went to a Halloween decoration painting event that was held at Unruly Brewing.  It was so funny to track the kids on the app we have and see Trent at home and Hailey at Unruly.  Of course I had to screenshot it.

I whipped up a festive Jack-o-lantern cheese platter before our Halloween guests arrived.

The best way to finish a month is to see something like this on FB and to know that your daughter and her friends have the biggest and sweetest hearts.

Word spread quickly about who the girls were and they were called into the Principal's office so he could tell them how proud he was and they got shirts with their school pride motto on them.  I know they don't do sweet stuff for recognition but it is nice to hear that sometimes the nice stuff you do is noticed and seen and appreciated.
