Monday moments - blah edition

It's so cold.  I know it's still winter in Michigan.  I don't know why I expect it to be any different.  I can easily stand temps in the 30's or even 20's but this single digit below zero crap has got to go.  Last weekend was such a tease of spring and now I just can't get warm enough.

So yeah - the weather is a big part of my blahs.  The other part is hard to explain.   I am just tired of doing the same thing over and over and seeing all these tiny fires that need tending to around me and day after day goes by and they are still not dealt with.  I know that was the longest sentence in the world and most likely not grammatically correct, but that is a bit how my days go - blah.

Little things here and there make the days perk up a bit.  Like last Monday when Evan came down dressed up for athletic day at school.

I found this photo gem while digging.  It is now pasted to our refrigerator.  #goalzz

My homemade cheese broccoli cauliflower soup.  It turned out so good.  Of course the kids would much rather have the thrown together meatball subs of the night before, but I loved it.

Hat day at the middle school.  When I picked him up after play practice he told me he was disappointed in his hat choice.  He thought he had much better choices he could have gone with.  This kid - I don't know where he comes from.

My three lovies after Spencer's skit show on Saturday night.

His cast photo for the show.  Yes he is upside down on a roller chair.  So strange that one.

Over the weekend the white stuff came back.  I know someone that was happy to get the snowboard back out.

Hailey was super excited (you see what I did there?)  for the Super Bowl.   She was very helpful in cutting up the veggies for our cheese fondue.

Then she made signs for our meager festivities.

She loves to draw and I think she is really great at it.  I tell her that she should be an art teacher when she gets older but she says she is too shy.
